the Story

An Scéal

the  Wildkind  book

A poem written for my three daughters to awaken the senses, inspire a connection to the wild, nurture a sense of place and encourage kindness towards each other.

Wildkind is a scéal of hope and healing for our children. For the children growing on the island of Ireland. For the children displaced across the world through conflict, war and environmental disaster.

For all our children who are now referred to as digital natives, navigating life in two landscapes, the digital world and natural one.

What greater gift could we give to our children than a deep connection to nature.  To encourage living more slowly, more sustainably with more connection to the ground beneath our feet.

Wildkind is a call to come home , to our breath , to our bodies , to our mother, earth .

Printed sustainably in the north of Ireland using vegetable based ink on carbon balanced paper.

10% of profits go to The Grow Slow Initiative our profit share for good project, set up to help refuge seeking and marginalised children connect to the wild around us.
