Bumbóg

£42.00

Bumbóg is irish for bumble bee.

We have 100 wild bee species in Ireland and one third are threatened with extinction .

The Bumbóg is made from the off cuts of the clothing collection and is also stuffed with the tiny linen remnants left over from the Wildkind collection. This zero waste design is hand-painted with two images from Wildkind, ‘The tide’ and ‘The dandelion Wild‘

The Dandelion is one of the main native irish flowers a queen bee feeds from in early spring.

The Bumbóg seed label is also handmade, with native Irish wildflowers and the blue flower of the flax / linen plant. By planting your label you can help save the wild bees.

This is an artisanal handmade product, each Bumbóg is an original artwork, and photographs are for reference only.

Choose either Black or Ivory/White. Perfect for hanging in a nursery or child’s bedroom, the high contrast black and white brush strokes help them to focus, stimulating vision which studies have said help with cognitive growth.

Made from: Irish linen, tiny remnants of linen are used for the filler along with an eco filler made from recycled single use plastic bottles. Hand painted with non-toxic fabric paint. And rain, there was a wild amount of rain.

Notes on care: Hand wash if possible to keep colour from fading or machine wash at 30° on a gentle cycle. Air dry flat.

The Wildkind Collection comes with free lifetime repairs.

Please note: This artisanal product should be used under supervision for young children.
